WONDERING WHAT TO DO WITH THAT TREE AFTER CHRISTMAS? RECYCLE!

WHO ARE WE? The Scouts of Troop and Pack 266 based in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs

WHAT ARE WE DOING? Our 7th annual Christmas Tree Recycling Project

WHY ARE WE RECYCLING TREES? We know that many in the community have the desire to recycle but may not have the time or the ability to transport their tree. We do this as a service to our community and to support our neighborhood recycling center. Recycling your tree saves valuable landfill space (and money on your trash bill). Trees ground into mulch provide good ground cover that reduces soil erosion, deters weed growth and conserves water in landscaping. The funds raised will provide scholarships that allow our scouts to go on high adventure trips.

WHEN DO WE PICKUP? Saturday December 31 , 2011. Have your tree out by the curb the morning of December 31. We will start picking up after 8AM

WHERE DO WE PICKUP? We pick up within the following zip codes: 30328, 30338, 30346, 30350. View the pickup area map.

WHERE DO YOU PUT YOUR TREE? Place your tree at your front curb or just outside your apartment door. Make sure your tree is free of all decorations. Please remove all lights, tinsel, garland, plastic wrap, tree stands, wire, rope, nails and all other foreign materials from trees before recycling them. Scouts will pick up all trees and take them to one of two Morgan Falls Recycling Center locations in Sandy Springs.

HOW DO YOU PAY? Put $10.00 (cash or check) in a plastic bag and tie to base of each tree. Make the check payable to Boy Scout Troop 266.

HOW DO YOU SIGN-UP? Place your order by completing the form below. We will send order confirmation within a week and send you a reminder a few days before we pick up.
